How to Copy an AudioBook Onto a CD

Audio books continue to be a popular way for people to enjoy literature. You can copy an audio book onto a CD using iTunes music software and a CD burner. This guide will assume that the audio book you want to copy is on a CD. You must first import the audio book files into the iTunes library and then burn a new CD with the files.

      Download and install iTunes music software (See Resources). Click the "Download Now" button on the page and wait for the file to download. Follow the instructions by iTunes on installing it on your computer.

      Import the audio book files into iTunes. Press the "Open/Close" button on your computer's CD drive. Insert the audio book CD into the CD tray drive on your computer. Press the "Open/Close" button again. ITunes automatically recognizes the disc and asks whether you want to import the audio tracks into the application. Click the "Yes" button. Wait for the files to copy into your iTunes library.

      Remove the audio book CD from your computer. Press the "Open/Close" button on your CD tray and pull out the disc.

      Create a playlist for your audio book tracks. You must create a playlist before burning a CD in iTunes. Click the plus symbol in the lower-left corner of iTunes. Type a name for your playlist and press the "Enter" button on your keyboard.

      Burn a new CD with the audio book files. Click the "Library" tab and then select one of your audio book tracks in the list. Click and drag this track over the name of your newly created playlist. Continue clicking and dragging each audio track you want on the new CD. Click the playlist icon and then click the "Burn Disc" button. Insert a blank CD into your computer's CD drive. ITunes automatically copies the audio book files onto the CD.
