Update your operating system and QuickTime software if necessary. To install Logic Studio, your computer will need to run Mac OS X 10.5.7 or higher as well as QuickTime 7.6 or later. To install the latest Apple updates, click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of your screen and select "Software Update." If Mac OS X and QuickTime appear on the list, click the check box appearing beside each one and click "Install."
Insert the Logic Studio DVD-ROM into the CD/DVD-ROM drive on your Apple computer.
Double-click the "Logic Studio" folder on your desktop and double-click the "installer" icon, which looks like a brown box and reads "Install Logic Studio."
Read the Logic "Software License Agreement" and click "Continue" in the lower right corner, verifying that you understand and agree with Apple's terms of use.
Insert the required information on the "User Information" page. Enter your first and last name in the designated boxes, then enter the name of your organization if applicable and finally enter your Logic Studio serial number, which appears on the "Installing Your Software" booklet that was provided with your software. Click "Continue."
Select the "Basic" installation option to install the entire bundle, or select the "Custom" option to select only specific programs and files. For example, if you only want to install the Logic Pro recording software, select your "Custom" installation option and uncheck the boxes for MainStage, Soundtrack Pro and any plug-ins that you wish to bypass. Click "Continue."
Click the "Install" button. As Logic installs, it will request additional DVD-ROMS included in your bundle, such as your Jam Pack DVDs and your Audio Content DVDs. Insert these discs when your installer requests them. When installation concludes, restart your computer.
