Visit the Logic Studio download page. Click the "Buy Now" button in the upper right corner of the page to proceed to the retail page.
Click the bubble appearing beside the words "Upgrade from Logic Pro or Logic Studio." Click the green "Add to Cart" button.
Click the "Check Out Now" button to proceed to Apple's checkout page, where the system will prompt you to enter your name, address, credit card information and other vital details. You must also enter the serial number from your current Logic software (found on the front of your "Installing Your Software" booklet) to verify your ownership. When you submit your order, Apple will ship your software installer disc within 24 hours.
Click the Apple logo on your menu bar and select "Software Update." If Apple detects software updates for "Mac OS X" or "QuickTime," select them and click "Update." In order to ensure optimum performance from your Logic bundle, you must ensure that you have the latest operating system installed.
Insert the installation disc into your CD/DVD-ROM drive and double-click the Logic Studio icon that appears on your desktop. Follow the on-screen instructions to perform the installation. Apple will first ask you to read and agree to the Software Licensing Agreement, select the hard drive on which you want to install your software, and enter your first and last name as the registered user. Afterward, enter your serial number and select the individual items that you want to install from the list.
Click the "Install" button in the lower right corner of your installer window. The installation process may take several minutes, after which you can eject the installer disc from your computer.
Register your software. Registering will enable you to download software updates and receive support if you have any problems with your software. Just open any program in your software bundle and a registration window will appear automatically. Fill out the requested fields with your user information and click the "Register Now" button.
