How to Install Cable Connections

Cable TV service is just one of the many ways to enjoy TV programming in the home. The primary vessel carrying the cable TV service to and around the home is coaxial cable. This cable transmits analog TV signals as well as digital TV signals recognized by TVs, cable boxes, digital set top boxes and more. To get the cable connection working, follow these few steps.

      Position the TV set, as well as any cable or set top boxes, near an available cable line in your home. This cable line attaches at a plug on the wall or comes directly through the floor or wall.

      Connect one end of a coaxial cable to the cable plug on your wall, then connect the other end of the cable into the appropriate cable service box or TV. If a cable line is already present, just connect the cable to the back of the appropriate device.

      Turn the TV on and flip through the channels to ensure the cable service works properly.
