How to Use a Behringer X V-Amp

The Behringer X V-Amp is a small amp modeling effects unit for guitars and other instruments. An amp modeler is a device that alters a given signal so that it sounds like it is being produced from a certain type of amplifier. The X V-Amp also comes with other time and tone altering effects such as an equalizer and delay setting. The X V-Amp also has a chromatic tuner and can store up to 100 different settings.

  • Two instrument cables with 1/4-inch inputs
  • Guitar amplifier

Instructions

      Connect a guitar to the main input jack of the V-Amp with a 1/4-inch instrument cable.

      Connect another 1/4-inch instrument cable to the "Mono Amp Out" jack of the V-Amp to the main input on a guitar amp.

      Use the large dial to select an amp model. Press the "Modulation" button to apply any desired effects and press the "Store" key for longer than two seconds to save a custom preset.
