How to Copy a CD on Snow Leopard

Copying a CD is a useful way to create a backup copy of one of your favorite CDs. You can copy a CD on Snow Leopard by using iTunes software that comes preinstalled on the Macintosh operating system. Not only will iTunes allow you to copy the CD, but it will also allow you to store and play the CD from your computer when finished.

      Click the “Finder” and open the “Applications” folder.

      Double-click the “iTunes” icon to open the program.

      Insert the CD you want to copy into your CD drive.

      Click “Yes” when asked to import the CD into your iTunes library. If iTunes does not ask to import the CD, click the “Import CD” button.

      Eject the CD after it has been imported.

      Click “File” and choose “New Playlist.”

      Drag the music that was imported from your CD and drop it into the new playlist you created. This new playlist will appear in the column on the left side of iTunes.

      Insert a blank CD-R into your computer.

      Highlight the playlist, click ”File” and choose “Burn Playlist to Disc.”

      Eject the CD-R after the burning process finishes.
