Open Windows Media Player.
Insert the music CD that you would like to copy music from into your computer.
Click “Rip” and then choose “Start Rip.” Windows Media Player will proceed to copy the music CD to your computer.
Plug your USB drive into your computer.
Click the “Start” button and select “My Computer.” Then double click on the icon that represents your USB drive to open it.
Click the “Start” button and select the “Music” folder. Within this folder, you will find the music that Windows Media Player copied from your CD. Drag and drop the music from this window into the window for your USB drive. Doing so will copy the music from your CD to the USB drive. You have now successfully copied a music CD to USB.
Open iTunes.
Insert the music CD that you would like to copy music from into your computer. After doing so, iTunes will ask you if you’d like to import the CD into your library. When this dialogue box appears, click “Yes.” ITunes will proceed to copy the music CD to your computer.
Plug your USB drive into your computer.
Click the “Finder” (located in the toolbar) and then click on the icon that represents your USB drive to open it.
Click “File” and select “New Finder Window” to open a new finder window. Within this new finder window, click “Music,” double-click the “iTunes” folder and then double-click the “iTunes Music” folder. Within this folder, you will find the music that iTunes copied from your CD. Drag and drop the music from this window into the window for your USB drive. Doing so will copy the music from your CD to the USB drive. You have now successfully copied a music CD to USB.
