How to Copy a CD Into Your iTunes Library

Copying a CD into your iTunes library is useful for a number of tasks. Once the CD is copied into your iTunes library, you can create custom playlists with the music, burn the music to another CD or put the music from the CD onto your iPod. If you do not have iTunes installed on your computer, it can be downloaded for free.

     Open iTunes.

     Put the CD you want to copy into your iTunes in the CD drive of your computer.

     Click “Yes” when asked if you want to import the CD into iTunes.

     Eject the CD once the audio has been ripped from the CD and copied to your iTunes library. This process usually takes a few minutes to complete.
