New Orleans Television Stations

New Orleans has seven television stations with network affiliations to serve the metropolitan area and its surrounding parishes. Five stations provide local news, weather, sports, entertainment and community calendars, while two stations provide educational programming.
  1. WGNO ABC 26

    • WGNO New Orleans is the ABC affiliate station and is broadcast on channel 26, and found on Cox Cable channel 11. It provides local news, weather, community updates, business, lifestyles and national ABC programming. The WGNO web site offers the same content plus program listings. It also contains links to Twitter, Facebook and a RSS feed.

    WVUE FOX 8 Live

    • WVUE is the FOX Network affiliate in New Orleans. It broadcasts on channel 8, and is found on Cox Cable channel 9. WVUE provides similar local services, but it airs national FOX programming, and provides game-day coverage of the New Orleans Saints.     WNOL Nola 38

    • WNOL Nola 38 is the New Orleans CW Network affiliate and can be found on Cox Cable channel 13. It provides local news, weather and sports through the web site, Twitter, Facebook, email and YouTube. The show "Nola Marketplace" is the only daily broadcast of local content. It airs Monday through Friday from 12:30 to 1 p.m., Saturdays from 5:30 to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 11 to 11:30 a.m.

    WDSU NBC 6

    • WDSU is the affiliate station for NBC, MSNBC and CNN. It broadcasts on channel 6, but can be found on Cox Cable's channel 7. While the station airs national NBC programming, it also receives content from the two cable networks.     WWL-TV CBS 4

    • WWL-TV is the CBS affiliate in New Orleans. It broadcasts on channel 4 and is found on Cox Cable channel 3. WWL-TV also provides local content, national CBS programming and web site services. It offers links to Twitter, Facebook, RSS feed, a mobile application, newsletters and special offers.

    PBS (WYES and WLAE)

    • WYES and WLAE are the two PBS affiliates for New Orleans. Both are nonprofit organizations that provide educational content for all age groups. WYES is broadcast and found on Cox Cable channel 12, and has been on the air since 1957. WLEA has been broadcasting on channel 32 since 1984, and is on Cox Cable's channel 14. Both can be found on Twitter and Facebook.
