WVUE began broadcasting in 1953 as WJMR and was the second television station in the city of New Orleans. Originally the station was a CBS affiliate with a secondary affiliation to ABC. Its call letters changed to WVUE in 1959, and it finally became a Fox affiliate in 1995.
As an affiliate of Fox, WVUE transmits shows such as "The Simpsons," "Family Guy" and many others that fans of Fox programming are familiar with. Check local listings for scheduled times and dates of any particular broadcasts.
WVUE has a large offering when it comes to local news. From the morning broadcast from 5am to 8am to the early evening news at 10pm, they keep the local market well informed.
