How to Remove Closed Caption on Video

Closed captioning permits hearing-impaired viewers to understand what is being said on screen while watching television or a movie with text. The feature, which was first implemented in 1972, is included as an option on all broadcast media made for television. Viewers who do not need closed captioning while viewing a show or movie may remove the option using a video remote control.
