Put the videotape with the Macrovision copy protection into a VHS player and rewind the tape to the beginning.
Connect the Composite video cable to the Composite video output of the VHS player.
Connect the other end of the Composite video cable to the Composite video input of the DVD Red Pro hardware box.
Connect another Composite video cable to the Composite video output of the DVD Red Pro hardware box.
Connect the other end of the second Composite video cable to the Composite video input of the second VHS player.
Plug in both VHS players and the DVD Red Pro hardware box for AC power.
Turn on both VHS players. Set the second VHS player to "Line Input" and insert a blank, recordable VHS tape.
Press "Play" on the remote of the first VHS player to start playing the tape. Press "Record" on the remote of the second VHS player to start the recording.
Press "Stop" on the remote of the first VHS player when the tape has finished playing, then press "Stop" on the remote of the second VHS player.
Take the tape from the second VHS player and copy it to another VHS tape or to a DVD without fear of Macrovision ruining the image.
