Download DVD Flick and install it on your computer. This software will allow you to convert your AVI file into a DVD. Open the software once it has successfully installed.
Click "Project Settings" within the program. The "Project Settings" window will open and it will display the default settings for the program. It is recommended that you leave the default settings as is, unless you have specific settings that are needed for your project.
Open your folder that holds the AVI file and drag and drop the file into DVD Flick. Insert a blank DVD into your computer. After you have dropped the file into DVD Flick, a yellow bar will appear, displaying the remaining space you have for one playable DVD.
Select a drive on your computer that will save this project. Make sure the drive has significant amount of space. Click on the button that reads "Create DVD," to convert your AVI file into a DVD. The process of creating the DVD might take a significant amount of time, depending on the size of your file.
Download DVDx onto your computer. DVDx will be downloaded as a zip file. Open the zip file and continue to install the program.
Open the program and insert a blank DVD into your computer. Click "File" on the upper left corner and select the AVI file that will be converted into a DVD. Click "Open" to add your file to DVDx. After you have opened your file, the input setting window will open automatically. The settings can be changed to your preferences.
Click on "Settings," which is located on the upper left corner between "File" and "Tools." Select the "Output Settings" to make changes based on your preferences. Within the output settings, you can change the screen size, as well as choose suitable audio for your DVD. Click "Apply" to save your changes.
Click "Destination" to select a drive for your project. Click the red "Record" button on the bottom right, to convert your file into a DVD.
Download and install Avi2DVD onto your computer. Open the program and select "AVI Mode" as your input on the "Input" tab, which is located on the far left of your screen. Click "Load avi/ogm/mkv/wmv," which will allow you to open the AVI file of your choosing.
Choose "DVD" as the output format, which can be found under the "Output" tab. Within the "Output" tab, you can choose the number of chapters for your DVD. Insert a blank DVD into your computer.
Click "Add Job" to add your AVI file to the job list on the bottom right and click "Go" to begin turning your file into a DVD. The time it will take to burn the DVD depends on the file size.
