Approximately three miles east of downtown Clermont is the EPIC Theatres of Clermont. Opened in 2009, the new 16-screen theater features a 40-foot-high central tower and a tree-lined courtyard. Cinemas are equipped with digital projection technology and were specifically designed for 3-D presentations. The movie theater also has a high-capacity refreshment stand, a gourmet eatery and a custom gaming area. Each auditorium offers stadium seating as well as limited rocking chair love seats.
The West Orange 5 is a family-run, independent movie theater in Ocoee, Florida. Located within approximately a 20-minute drive from Clermont, the theater features traditional cinema seating as well as a Tables Auditorium with leather rocking chairs and service tables to enjoy meals in addition to regular seating. For families, the theater is equipped with private booths. Since 2009, the cinema has been the home of the Central Florida Film Festival.
The AMC West Oaks 14 features stadium seating and is next to the West Oaks Mall in Ocoee. The movie theater is equipped with digital projection technology, digital surround sound, and Real 3-D technology. For patrons with disabilities, the theater offers listening devices, closed captioning and descriptive video, and is wheelchair accessible. As of February 2011, regular adult tickets for evening shows was $9.25, with an additional $3 for 3-D films.
Approximately 40 minutes north of Clermont, the AMC Lake Square 12 is just west of downtown Leesburg, Florida. The movie theater features digital surround sound and stadium seating, as well as Real 3-D technology. Originally a six-auditorium theater, the AMC Lake Square cinema expanded to 12 screens in 1995. Located next to the Lake Square Mall, an adult ticket as of February 2011 cost $8.75 for evening shows and $11.75 for 3-D films.
