Movie Theaters near Madison, Indiana

Founded in 1809, Madison, Indiana boasts three National Historic Landmarks and the largest historical district in the state. But history isn't Madison's only attraction; the town gives moviegoers a choice of two local theaters. In town, they may opt for the historically rich Ohio Theater or the larger Great Escape Madison 6, or travel to other theaters in the surrounding area.
  1. Ohio Theater

    • Located in the heart of Madison, the Ohio Theater was built in 1938 after its predecessor, the Little Grand, burned down in 1936. The theater has two screens, one on the main floor and another on the balcony floor. Aside from screening movies, it hosts live events and special events, like classic movie screenings. Admission is discounted for kids under 11 years of age, and discounted on Tuesdays for everyone. The theater can also be booked for parties and other occasions.

    Great Escape Oldham 8

    • The Great Escape Oldham 8 theaters are located in La Grange, Kentucky, about 32 miles south of Madison. The theater has eight screens and shows movies two to five times per day, depending on the day of the week. The theater offers discounts for matinees, children and seniors.
