Spanish Music Clubs Near Scottsdale, Arizona

According to the U.S. Census Bureau estimates from 2009, people of Hispanic or Latino origin make up more than 30 percent of Arizona's population. There are many entertainment venues catering to this market in Scottsdale and nearby cities in the "Valley of the Sun."     • Along with serving a full menu of Spanish foods including tapas such as cured meats and cheeses and a variety of seafood, Pepin Restaurante Espanol turns into a salsa dance club on the weekends. After the nightly flamenco dancing performances are completed, the restaurant turns the stage over to the general public, where they can dance to new and classic Latin tunes. Salsa dancing neophytes can get a free lesson, which were offered each Tuesday beginning at 8 p.m.

    • Phoenix's Club Silver is home to "Latin Ladies Saturday Night," which was named the "Best Latin Dance Night" by the Phoenix New Times in 2009. Every Saturday night, Latin hip-hop and other trendy dance music take over the club. The night is helmed by local Latin hip-hop radio host DJ Skandalis and features the hottest tracks from a variety of Latin dance music styles including reggaeton, cumbia, salsa and meringue. In keeping with the night's theme, all women get in for free before 11 p.m.
