Miami Salsa Clubs

Although the art originated in Cuba, salsa dancing has become popular throughout the United States, including the south Florida city of Miami. A number of locations throughout the city providing dance classes where prospective dancers can learn the skills necessary for salsa dancing, which will then translate into the clubs. In addition to providing salsa dance lessons, Miami has a variety of clubs throughout the city that are focused on salsa dancing.
  1. Salsa Mia

    • Although Salsa Mia may be more known as a salsa dance training center, the facility turns into a salsa nightclub on Friday nights, allowing students to show off their skills in front of a crowd. Classes are available Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evenings in the upstairs of Yuca Lounge. Salsa Mia also offers live entertainment throughout the week, and at 11pm each Friday night, Yuca Lounge turns into a nightclub with a DJ spinning salsa music and live performances by salsa bands. Arranging entertainment for private shows is also available through Salsa Mia.

    Salsa Kings

    • Salsa Kings provides salsa dancers with both group and private lessons in a unique partner setting instead of the traditional Rueda group setting. Instructors at Salsa Kings are certified by the World Salsa Federation and have advanced skills in Cuban style partner dancing that they pass on to their students. Instructors at Salsa Kings are also available for private lessons, and will travel to the location of the student's choice. In addition to traditional salsa dancing, students receive training in Casino and Cuban style dancing with the principles of leading, following, creativity and movement.

    Bongo's Cuban Cafe

    • Bongo's Cuban Cafe is a Miami Cuban eatery by day and at night turns into one of the largest Cuban nightclubs in the city. The club offers two levels, VIP areas, and outdoor terraces for patrons to choose from, as well as 16,000 square feet of dance space. Every Friday and Saturday night, the cafe turns into a Latin dance bar complete with a state of the art sound system and a light show each night. Special events including live music are available on select nights, and a DJ provides entertainment on a regular basis.
