How to Do the Rack Daddy Dance

Not many songs make it big enough to have a dance named after them. "Rack Daddy," by Dallas-based Hip Hop artist Fat Pimp, is one such song. Released on Warner Bros. in 2008 on an album of the same name, this 70 BPM slow track is nice and easy to get the hips shaking and the body grooving. With millions of YouTube views, the infectious vibe of the Rack Daddy has spread beyond the dance floors of Dallas to Hip Hop fans around the world.

Instructions

    • 1

Bend your knees and crouch slightly. As you straighten your left leg, look to your left and take a slight step to the left. Swing your left arm from your torso to the left side of your body, so it is straight in line with your torso, your arm pointing down. Swing your right arm from your torso up toward your head in a V-shape, holding your hand by your ear.

    • 2

Repeat Step 1, this time reversing the leg and arm movements.

    • 3

Quickly move your left arm from your torso, up toward the left side of your head, arm pointing up in a V-shape. Repeat this with the other arm. Switch back and forth while swinging your hips left and right.

    • 4

Crouch down low to the ground, then come up, taking a big step to the left, then the right. As you come up out of the crouch, pass your left hand up over your head, like you're feeling your scalp, then the right hand.
