The Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism (CCT) offers artists fellowships to artists who reside in the state. Grant recipients must have lived and worked in Connecticut for at least one year and be a current resident. Students attending school in Connecticut, but not permanent residents, are not eligible to apply. The fellowships have two grant cycles annually. The first cycle is for artists who work in crafts, new media, painting, photography, and sculpture. The second cycle is for artists who work as choreographers, poets, playwrights, writers, music composers and film/video production. Grant amounts range from $2,500 to $5,000. Recipients in 2010 included a curator at the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, MA and a professor at the University of Rhode Island.

The Aaron Siskind Foundation holds an annual Individual Photographer's Fellowship program. Any photographer who is a U.S. citizen is eligible. The grant amount is $7,000 and there is one deadline annually. The foundation is looking for contemporary photographers in both still photography and photography-based media. Recent recipients of this grant program lived in New Jersey, Massachusetts, and New York.

The Puffin Foundation holds an annual Individual Artist Grant program. Only permanent residents and U.S. Citizens are eligible.There is one grant cycle annually and grant awards range in amounts from $1,000 to $2,500. Grants are in film and video, photography, fine arts, music and theater.

The Pollock-Krasner Foundation awards grants to individual visual artists throughout the United States and internationally. Artists may submit an application at any time and the average award is around $17,000. Artists must specialize in painting, sculpting, paper work or printmaking. The foundation does not accept artists who work with photography, film, commercial art, craft or digital art. In 2010 recipients included artists from Providence, RI; Berlin, Germany; Brooklyn, NY; and Los Angeles, CA.
