Enroll in a career diploma at Ashworth College. You have to be at least 17 to enroll in this program, which will teach you how to make roofs, windows, doors, cabinets, concrete floor and exterior wall frames. You will learn about the usage of hand and power tools. The diploma consists of 19 lessons, after which you will become a certified carpenter.
Enroll in a diploma program at Allied Schools. The carpentry course teaches how to work with wood, lumber, hand and power tools, wall panels and fasteners, building layout, concrete forms, interior scaffolds and roof framing, stairways and insulation. You will also learn how to work with windows and exteriors doors, siding, decks, fences, drywall, wall tile, ceiling finish, interior trim, stairways and counter tops as well as cabinets.
