Find an online video you can use to view the dance moves. Websites like youtube.com, learntodance.com, hiphopdancespot.com, danceclass.com and mikesmoves.com are all good choices, but any general video-sharing site will mostly likely also have dance videos.
Study each individual component of each dance move. Pay close attention at which body part is moved and in which order. Watch the video repeatedly to try to memorize as much as possible of how each movement works together. It may be useful to watch each movement separately by using pause and rewind before watching the entire dance routine.
Practice each movement. Just as you did when visually studying the dance moves, using pause and rewind to practice each specific movement before putting the whole thing together is a good idea. Repeat each movement or step until you have mastered that particular section, then move on and do the same for the next section until you get through the entire routine.
Put it together. Instead of just practicing each individual movement, practice the entire routine from start to finish. Keep practicing until you can do the whole thing from memory.
Perfect the routine. Although you can learn dance moves completely online, getting feedback about whether you are doing the moves properly is always useful. If you feel uncomfortable with others watching this process, you can watch yourself in a mirror while simultaneously watching the video, or even videotape yourself to check to see if you make any mistakes in the routine. Repeat this process as often as needed, and you'll be showing off your great dance moves in no time.
