The Venice Art Center, established in 1956, features works of art through a variety of mediums. Artwork includes paintings and prints such as lithographs, photographs, drawings and digital art. In addition, carvings, engravings, sculpture and jewelry are also on display. The center holds showings throughout the year, with daily hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday through Saturday. As of 2010, admission is free, but donations are welcome.

The Venice Art Festival is an annual outdoor art show held the first weekend of November. The show takes place just east of Venice Beach and draws approximately 150 area artists, presenting over $15 million worth of paintings, sculptures and jewelry. All artists on exhibit are on site during the entire show so visitors will have the opportunity to speak with them personally. Admission is free.

The annual Downtown Venice Labor Day Weekend Craft Festival takes place the first weekend in September. Works include plaster, glass and crystal sculptures, as well as pottery, jewelry and fabric pieces. The festival is held in downtown Venice from 10am to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.
