Wash your face thoroughly before applying makeup, and blot it dry with a towel. Next, if you have long hair or bangs, secure it in a clip or ponytail, so it's away from your face.
Coat your face in a layer of white paint and use the makeup sponge to spread it out.
Using the black eyeliner pencil, draw an upside-down triangle under your eye -- in the center of the eyelid -- and fill it in. Mirror this by placing a triangle above your eye and filling that in. For a little whimsy, place small black circles half an inch away from the triangles, at the end of the dots. Color your lips black.
With the colored makeup, create designs from your mind or look at a jester picture for reference. Many jesters utilize designs like flowers, hearts, and stars on their cheeks, forehead or chin. These designs can be outlined with the black eyeliner to make them more vibrant in appearance. Other designs include suns, moons, or abstract designs.
Apply acrylic jewels using special costume glue, to your face. You might place them in the middle of your forehead, the corners of your eyes, or anywhere else you choose. This is a nice eye-catching touch to add to your jester makeup.
Finally, sprinkle your glitter over the areas you would like to shimmer to add the finishing touch. This is optional, but works well during plays or shows when lights will be shining on your face.
