The School of Cinema and Performing Arts (SOCAPA) offers programs for ages 12 to 20. The acting classes are geared specifically toward acting for film and are taught by a variety of talented professionals. Students may also take dance class, photography and screenwriting, and potentially earn college credit. New York sessions runs June through August, and the costs include room and board and equipment fees.

New York Film Academy has a four-week acting camp for teens geared toward film acting. The NYFA method is total immersion and requires that the student have no other distractions and remain totally focused on their craft for the duration of the camp. They also offer one-week camps for those who cannot make a four-week commitment. For students who are interested in stage acting, NYFA also offers a four-week musical theater camp. In the musical theater camp, students will learn skills necessary for the profession including voice, movement and music; study the history of musical theater through film and genre studies and examine the ethics of the profession.

TVI Actor's Studio is a one-week intensive summer camp focusing on the auditioning process. Because the camp is only one week long, potential campers can expect to log 55 hours of auditions in front of casting agents, directors and producers from film, television and musical theater. The feedback gained from this experience is crucial to young actors' success in getting roles and understanding the industry.
