Theaters in Phoenix, AZ

Arizona's state capital supports many theater choices. From independent genre to legendary Broadway productions, Phoenix's affection for the performing arts is apparent in the many theaters themselves. Not many cities can claim a theater designed by Frank Lloyd Wright or a state-of-the-art rotating stage. With so many choices, it's no wonder Phoenix is a top destination for artists.
  1. Orpheum Theatre

    • Built in 1929, Orpheum Theatre, the "Grand Dame" of Arizona's theaters and home to the Phoenix Metropolitan Opera, features elaborate murals and ornamental molding in the Spanish Baroque style. In 1997, 12 years after an extensive remodel, the Orpheum Theatre reopened to the public. The 1,364-seat auditorium boasts state-of-the-art technology and is ADA compliant. This building is the last of its kind in Phoenix.
