The Carey Dinner Theatre is in Hattiesburg and is associated with William Carey University. The oldest dinner theater in the state, audience members choose between two productions staged each summer. Genres include musical comedy, revues and the occasional original production. Dinners consist of catered buffets served by cast members just before show time. All shows take place at the O. L. Quave Theater just across the street from the northern edge of the campus. Reservations are required. Curtain goes up at 7pm.

Picayune On Stage is in Picayune in southwest Mississippi. This theater stages a combination of dinner theater and community theater productions throughout the year. As of 2010, Picayune On Stage was in search of a larger space to call home while current productions take place at their Canal Street theater. Genres performed include musical comedy and drama as well as sing-through pieces where no spoken dialogue is used. Depending on the show and season both matinee and evening shows are available. Doors open at 6pm, dinner is served at 6:30pm and the curtain goes up at 8pm. Reservations are recommended.

Mississippi Murder Mysteries perform in the tri-county Jackson area. This for-hire company does not have its own theater but instead stages productions that include catered dinners at local venues including Jackson area restaurants. Comedic productions revolve around murder in the form of one act or full length plays. Additionally, Mississippi Murder Mysteries is available for fundraisers, special events and company parties. Staging plays throughout the year, guests are offered a 6pm cash bar, open doors at 6:30pm and a curtain time of 7pm. Reservations are required.
