Spread some yellow makeup beginning at the bridge of the nose and working out to where the cheekbones begin. Extend this application up to just under the eyes as well. This will give you some of the tonal variations of a tiger's coloring.
Apply an orange makeup base to the rest of the face and extend it down over the neck. Use your fingers to apply it and create a smooth application to ensure the coloring is even all around.
Draw the tiger markings all over the face with a black grease pencil or eyeliner. Use as many markings as you want, but avoid drawing straight lines for the stripes. Tiger stripes are jagged, uneven and different lengths and widths. Apply your markings this way to create a more realistic look.
Add black lines at the corners of the eyes and around the eyes to give some depth to them. This will allow you to give the eyes a more catlike appearance and help them stand out when you color in the rest of the face.
Apply a light amount of white makeup over the upper lip and on the eyelids, then sponge some white makeup on the eyelids as well. This provides some of the color variation of a tiger's markings and brings out the darker colors. Add a light touch of brown makeup to the yellow to give it a dirtier look and to decrease some of the brightness.
Paint the markings on the face with a makeup brush using black, then use a black eyebrow pencil around the mouth to shade. This brings out the impression of a tiger's snout. Blend a little white makeup around the edges of the mouth and use a black eyebrow pencil to apply three small black dots in a triangular pattern for whisker holes. Draw three or four whiskers on each side of the mouth extending from the whisker holes using a black eyeliner pencil.
