Who is benvolio in Romeo and Juliet?
Benvolio is a character in William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet. He is the nephew of Montague, one of the leaders of the Montague family, and Romeo's cousin and close friend. Benvolio is a peacemaker and tries to prevent violence between the Montagues and Capulets, the two feuding families in Verona. He is also loyal to Romeo and tries to help him in his relationship with Juliet.
