    • Visitors to Los Angeles can enjoy an evening of dining and entertainment at El Cid. Located on Sunset Boulevard, the theater was originally built to screen D.W. Griffith's epic movie "Birth of a Nation." Today, EL Cid Restaurant features a flamenco dinner theater every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The one-hour show includes Flamenco dancing and music, along with a three-course meal. Dinner items include halibut, paella and pork tenderloin, among other dishes. As of August 2010, flamenco dinner theater tickets range in price from $25 to $36, depending on the time and day selected. El Cid also hosts occasional murder mystery dinner theater events, along with open mic night every Monday.

    Candlelight Pavilion Dinner Theatre

    • The Candlelight Pavilion Dinner Theatre in Claremont, California, offers dinner and theater performances. The 2010 show schedule includes "Once Upon a Mattress," "Will Rogers Follies," "Annie" and "Christmas Memories," among others. Ticket prices include dinner, a show and taxes, and range from $25 to $60 per person. Group and kids' rates are also available, except holiday performances. Guests can get started with appetizer selections such as crab cakes, baked brie and quesadillas. Entree selections can include roasted tri-tip, grilled chicken breast and Atlantic salmon. For dessert, guests can choose selections such as peach sundae, tiramisu or bread pudding. The Candlelight Pavilion Dinner Theatre also offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Teatro ZinZanni

    • Located on Pier 29 in San Francisco, Teatro ZinZanni offers unique performances by world-renown artists, along with five-course dinners. Teatro ZinZanni began in Seattle in 1998 and opened in San Francisco in March 2000. The San Francisco cast has included such legendary performers as Joan Baez, Maria Muldaur and Liliane Montevecchi. Shows include singing, dancing, cabaret acts and circus performances, with performers dressed in period costumes. The three-hour performance takes place in an antique cabaret-style tent, which the production company imported from Belgium. Ticket prices vary depending on seating, date and time of performance, and start at $117 per person. Menu items can include cheese selections from Cowgirl Creamery's Pierce Point Cheese, grilled pork, herb marinated roasted chicken, black pepper chicken breast and hazelnut cake. Vegetarian and vegan menu items are available on request.
