Comedy Clubs in Western Washington

With Seattle being one of the larger cities in the United States, you would expect to find numerous comedy clubs within the city. However, there are comedy clubs in towns such as Bellevue and Tacoma that provide as much comedy as Seattle. Many of these clubs bring in top national acts, making western Washington a potential hot spot for comedy.

  1. The Parlor

    • The Parlor is located in downtown Bellevue across from Bell Square. On the surface, it looks like your normal pool hall, but it houses one of the better comedy clubs in the area. For those looking for bigger-name comedians, the Parlor is the place to go. Comedians like Rob Schneider and Jeff Garlin are on tap to perform in the coming months of 2010. On evenings when there is not a comedian performing, the Parlor features trivia, karaoke and dinner theater. The Parlor is 21 and over only.

    The Comedy Underground

    • If you are looking for a comedy club that features comedians who are unknown, the Comedy Underground is the place to go. Located in downtown Seattle, the Comedy Underground is for all ages Monday through Thursday and 21 and over during the weekends. There are also open mic nights every Monday. Food is served throughout the club before, during and after shows. There is a Comedy Underground in the city of Tacoma as well.

    Giggles

    • Giggles is a comedy club located in Seattle's University District. It is open Thursday through Sunday, with Thursday and Sunday evenings featuring an open mic night. Friday and Saturday evenings feature national acts with a local comedian opening. It is an all-ages club except for the occasional late show which will be 21 and over. Giggles does serve food and drinks. There is a one drink minimum on top of your ticket price.

    Laughs Comedy Spot

    • Located in Kirkland, Laughs Comedy Spot is a small, 200-seat club that features numerous up-and-coming comics as well as established comedians. The intimate venue is open to those 21 and over, though there are occasional all-ages show when no alcohol is served. Food and drinks are offered, but note that there is a two-item minimum. Every Tuesday features an open mic night that is free. The club is open Tuesday through Saturday evenings.
