Pro Tools and Serato are two separate, stand-alone programs. Each application needs to be individually opened on the system. It is possible to run and record Serato Scratch live into Pro Tools in real time, but this may be very taxing on the CPU and may cause errors, depending on your system's capabilities.
Serato's TDM plug-in suites will work in digital audio workstations like Pro Tools. These plug-ins include a pitch correction tool (Pitch N' Time) and the Rane equalizer and compressor set.
The discontinued Serato Scratch Studio Edition will work in Pro Tools. Scratch Studio Edition enables digital scratching on any audio file or sample. The software tracks motion and simulates scratching movements, producing sounds that are sonically similar to vinyl scratching.
