How to Mount a Condenser Mic on a Stand
Condenser mics are the workhorses of broadcasting and recording studios. Invented in 1916, they were quickly adopted by the industry for their robustness and ability to capture sound accurately. Condenser mics are held on stands by mic clips, which come in a variety of types. Some clips contain a combination of support wires that the mic rests in to keep vibration to an absolute minimum. Other clips rely only on spring-pressure to hold the mic, while others just hold it with friction-pressure.
