Place the "USB Driver" disc into the CD slot, and run the installation process. Connect the controller to the computer with the USB connection cable. Power on the controller.
Follow the on screen instruction to finish the installation process. Start the FL Studio application and wait for it to load. Open the "Options" tab from the top of the screen and make sure that the "Enable MIDI remote control" function is selected. Select the "Settings" tab at the top and select "MIDI."
Highlight the "USB Audio Device" option in the "Input" section. Re-install the driver CD if you don't see the device listed in the "Input" section. Select the "Enable" box, which is located below the "Input" section.
Press a button on the controller to test the connection. Green lights blink on the Florida Studio "Main Panel," if connected properly.
Click the "Pattern" mode located in the "Transport" bar at the top. Right-click the "Record" button at the top, and make sure that "Score" is checked for the recording option.
Press the "Record" button to arm the track for recording. The "Record" button changes from green to red when it's ready to record.
Press the "Play" button, and play the desired notes on the controller. Press the "Stop" button when finished recording. Save the file by clicking "Save" from the "File" menu at the top of the screen.
