Nightclubs in Columbia, Missouri

With many nightlife options, Columbia, Missouri, is geared to the college-age crowd because of the student bodies of the University of Missouri, Stephens College and Columbia College in the city. Whether your scene is dancing, comedy or live music, Columbia has something to offer. Some options, such as Déjà Vu, have been popular nighttime hangouts for more than 30 years, while Club Memoir is a new upscale addition to the club scene in Columbia.
  1. Déjà Vu

    • For more than 30 years, Déjà Vu has offered comedy shows, dancing and many food and drink choices. "The Vu," as it is called by locals, often features nationally acclaimed stand-up comedians on the upper level and has a 10,000-square-foot nightclub on the lower level. Comedy acts change constantly and reservations are recommended for the shows. The dance section of the club plays Top 40 music and has nightly drink specials. Cover is $5 for the dance club and ticket prices for comedy shows vary depending on the performer. Déjà Vu is open every Thursday through Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

    The Soco Club

    • While the Soco Club is the premier GLBT dance club, it is also straight-friendly. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the drag shows, dancing and karaoke options. Thursdays are the most popular night at the Soco Club; you can enjoy dancing after the drag show. The music choice ranges from 80s to Top 40 and the club is open to patrons 18 and older every night. Cover varies depending on the night and is slightly higher for those 18 to 21. The Soco Club is open Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. and Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

    Club Memoir

    • As a new addition to Columbia nightlife as of the summer of 2010, Club Memoir boasts a big-city club scene that you would enjoy in places such as New York and Paris. There is a strict dress code, so come to Memoir dressed to impress. Events include poetry on Tuesdays, Wet Wednesday, college night on Thursday and free drinks for Memoir Facebook friends on Friday. The club features house dance and Top 40 music and the cover is $5.

    The Fieldhouse

    • The Fieldhouse is the place to go to enjoy Missouri Tiger games. The venue carries all sports packages on DirecTV so that you can watch every game of the season. They boast a large selection of microbrews and draft beers as well as big-screen TVs for a great view of the game. They have drink specials every night of the week including bottomless cup on Friday with $10 cover. Cover on other nights of the week varies and the location is available for private parties.
