How to Print a CD Stick-On Label

Printing your own CD stick-on labels allows you to make your copied CDs easily recognizable and, hence, more manageable. Creating your own CD labels can be a creative experience that makes your copied CDs look more professional. You can personalize them or design them to stick on a CD that you are planning to give as a present. Whatever the reason, you can carry out this straightforward task at home with the help of an accessible software program.

Instructions

    • 1

Choose a Word or Publisher label template from the Microsoft Office website (see Resources) and click the "Download" tab that appears when you hover over your chosen template. Word or Publisher should open automatically when you download the template.

    • 2

Design your CD label, typing in the text you want to appear on the label in the boxes provided and upload any pictures that you want to appear on the label.

    • 3

Turn on your printer and insert blank CD labels into your printer's paper-feed tray.

    • 4

Click on "Print" in your Word or Publisher program. Insert the labels' product information if your printer requests it; this will ensure that the labels are lined up correctly.

    • 5

Remove the printed labels from the printer. Peel them off individually. Line them up with the CD and carefully stick them down.
