Local Talk-Radio Stations in Wildwood, New Jersey

Wildwood, NJ is an energetic beach community located on a five-mile stretch of island known as the Wildwoods. This island includes the towns of Wildwood, Wildwood Crest and North Wildwood. Wildwood has a world-famous two-mile boardwalk with the East Coast's highest ferris wheel, a double-decker carousel and one of only four suspended roller coasters in the world, "The Great Nor'Easter." North Wildwood is a small, quiet community founded in the late 1890s. Wildwood Crest is located on the southern end of the Wildwoods and is a haven for water sports. All three communities are served by various talk-radio stations.

    • Broadcasting out of Pleasantville and Atlantic City, NJ on radio frequency 1400 AM, WOND offers news and talk programming to the Wildwoods. WOND is affiliated with FOX News and provides content from such talk-radio hosts as Don Williams, Barbara Altman, Rush Limbaugh, Jeff Whitaker, Pinky Kravitz and Michael Savage. Pinky Kravitz is a New Jersey native known as "Mr. Atlantic City" who has been broadcasting his show, "Pinky's Corner" for more than 50 years. His show airs on WOND weekdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. His show is just one example of the programming WOND provides to Wildwood residents.

    • Broadcasting on radio frequency 90.3 FM out of Cape May Court House, NJ, WNJZ provides public-radio programming to the Wildwoods. The station features news, talk and some music programming. Cape May is located about 10 miles from the Wildwoods. Programs aired include NPR's Morning Edition, News Hour by the BBC, The Diane Rhem Show out of Washington and the New Jersey News hosted by Kent Manahan. WNJZ offers Wildwood residents the latest news stories with opinion and analysis as well as programs featuring a balanced and relatively unbiased presentation of deeper, more complex issues affecting Americans and New Jersey residents.

    • Broadcasting on radio frequency 1230 AM out of Wildwood, WCMC features music and talk programming in the nostalgia format, playing music from the 1940s and 1950s by Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis and Frank Sinatra. Its programming is well-suited for the older, more leisurely community makeup of North Wildwood. Talk content centers around historical and nostalgic discussions of American life in the 40s and 50s.
