Packaged in the box with your ADS Power Plate 40 are two brackets used for mounting the unit to your car. Also included are two spacers, used to separate the Power Plate from the mounting brackets, four screws used to attach the mounting brackets to your car and four screws used for mounting the brackets to the Power Plate.
According to the ADS Power Plate 40 user's manual, the actual physical dimensions of the unit are 200 millimeters in width, 40 millimeters in height and 170 millimeters in depth. These dimensions include the physical space of the ADS Power Plate 40 as well as the inputs used to connect the ADS Power Plate to your car speakers and stereo.
The total weight of the ADS Power Plate 40 is 3.5 pounds. This is an important number to know, as the more weight that you add to your vehicle the more your vehicle's performance will be affected. For example, hauling a lot of equipment in your car will reduce the amount of miles per gallon you get out of the gas in your gas tank.
The ADS Power Plate can be connected to anywhere from two to eight speakers, depending on the actual speaker configuration of your car. The number of speakers you connect to the Power Plate will affect the total power outputted from the amplifier to each speaker. For example, if you're connecting two speakers each channel will get 25 ohms, while with eight speakers each will get 16 ohms.
