Geffen Records is a company started by mega-mogul David Geffen in the early 1980s. Since its launch, it has been home to such legendary artists as Elton John, Aerosmith and Nirvana. David Geffen retired in the 1990s, however, and the company was sold to MCA. Today, it operates under the Universal Music Group, along with Interscope and A&M. It's still in operation (as of 2011) under its parent company, Interscope Records, and can be contacted by email or phone.
