Connect the sound source inputs, power amplifiers and speakers prior to configuring your mixer. Given the design for permanent installation, Biamp mixers such as the 801i connect using bare wires rather than plug-and-jack connectors.
Set each channel being used by turning the Level control to the 12-o'clock position. Fine-tune the audio signal on each channel, using the screwdriver to adjust the Trim control so that the "+10 dB" light flashes periodically when audio is present. Set the overall volume using the Master level control. Adjust the mix by using the channel Level controls until the blend of all signals is satisfactory.
Alter DIP switches on the rear panel to configure features of your Biamp mixer. Individual channels allow changes to parameters such as channel priority, phantom power and auto level ducking. Master DIP switches let you operate several mixers, as well as remotely control system volume. Toggle DIP switches using the small screwdriver. Refer to the operator's manual for the switchable features specific to your mixer.
