Jazz Clubs in Chicago, Illinois

Chicago has a small but strong jazz scene. Every year, Grant Park hosts the Chicago Jazz Festival on labor day weekend. And every other night of the year, jazz musicians from Chicago and abroad find their way into some of the most storied jazz clubs in the Windy City. Most jazz clubs in Chicago are ages 21 and up.
  1. Green Mill

    • The most historic jazz club in Chicago is located in Uptown. The Green Mill was a hangout for Al Capone during the gangster's heyday, but is today regarded as one of the premier venues for great jazz acts. Cover is usually $5 to 10, and casual attire is allowed. The Green Mill's philosophy is to combine a casual atmosphere with sophistication.
