How to Power Peavey 112HS Floor Monitors

The Peavey 112 floor monitor is a loudspeaker for playback of electric instruments during a live performance. These hefty monitors (47 lbs. each) are positioned on the stage at the performers so they can hear their sound and make adjustments as necessary. Each Peavey monitor is equipped with a pair of standard 1/4-inch phono jacks for connecting with an amplifier for power. The maximum continuous power capacity for the Peavey 112 series is 100 watts.

Instructions

      Unplug the amplifier from the electrical outlet.

      Insert the plugs on the end of two audio cables into the two audio OUT jacks on the amplifier.

      Plug the other end of each cable into the audio IN jacks on the back panel of the Peavey floor monitor, taking care not to cross the signal from the amp. For example, the cable connected to the left output on the amp should be plugged into the left input on the Peavey.

      Dial down the amplifier volume to zero, then plug in the amplifier power cord to an electrical outlet.
