One of Rochester's oldest neighborhoods host an annual arts, crafts and music festival in August. Park Avenue's Summer Art Festival is a two-day affair and it has over 60 musical performances ranging from gospel, rhythm and blues, and acoustic. There is also an array of vendors selling Caribbean chicken, fish and chips, steamed clams and jambalaya among other items. Numerous free recreational activities are offered by the YMCA and other exhibitors, and the event is strictly non-alcoholic. The St. Stanislaus Church holds an annual Polish Art Festival every year in August. This two-day event includes live polka music, games for the kids and many vendors selling items such as authentic Polish pottery. Potato pancakes, Italian sausage, salt potatoes, soft drinks and beer and potato-cheese pierogi are just a few food items that be sold during the festival.

Rochester hosts an international jazz festival every year in June. Founded in 2002, this nationally recognized festival hosts concerts and venues over an eight-day span at 17 venues in Rochester's east end cultural district. These venues include intimate night clubs, concert halls and outdoor stages. Performances range from new and upcoming artists to legendary performers such as Ella Fitzgerald and Rosemary Clooney. Tickets must be purchased to attend each jazz festival event.
