Located on the north bank of the Guadalupe River, Ingram, Texas features a variety of yearly festivals and fairs to attend. Arts and crafts fairs, folk festivals, wine and music festivals, Mardi Gras on Main and the Easter Fest are among the many celebrations planned in this small town.
  1. Kerr County Fair

    • Traditionally held in October, the Kerr County Fair features a petting zoo, talent contest, chili cook-off, bull riding, parade, carnival and midway. Dance to live music or spend the day sampling the various gastronomic delights from the many food and beverage vendors. As of 2011, general admission is $5 per adult, and children under 10 are free.     Top Ten in the Nation

    • Held in November the Top Ten in the Nation art festival is sponsored by the Hill Country Arts Foundation. Puruse handcrafted art work of all mediums by the top 10 craft artists in the nation. All items are available for purchase. The festival is held in the Duncan-McAshan Visual Arts Center off State Hwy. 39. Call 830-367-5120 for more information and to confirm upcoming dates.

    4th of July on the River

    • Head to Louise Hay Park and the banks of the Guadalupe River to celebrate the nation's independence. Pack a picnic, blanket and lawn chairs and settle in for the fireworks at dusk. Live music begins at 6:30 p.m. Food and drink vendors are on site as well.

    Kerrville Folk Festival

    • The annual Kerrville Folk Festival is held at the Quiet Valley Ranch and features over 100 musical artists during an 18-day festival. Gates are open 24 hours a day for revelers to wander in and out. The annual Kerrville New Folk songwriting competition is held on the first weekend and draws 32 of the best emerging songwriters from around the U.S. Participate in workshops on songwriting, blues guitar and harmonica. A variety of food items from barbecue to vegetarian selections are available as well as beer, wine smoothies, soft drinks and speciality coffee beverages.
