Set up a free account with Dropbox, and install the software on your computer. This will create a Dropbox folder on your hard drive, whose contents will be automatically uploaded to the company's servers.
Copy your file into the Public subfolder of your Dropbox. Once it has uploaded successfully (indicated by a green check mark on the file icon), right click on it and select "Copy Public Link" in the Dropbox submenu.
Share this link, which other people can use to download your file. There is no size limit for individual files, but free accounts are restricted to a total of 2GB.
Set up a free account with Megaupload and fill in your account details. This gives you a 2GB limit per file, and a total of 200GB of file space.
Click the "Megaupload" icon at the top of the screen, then click "Browse" and select your files. Enter a file description in the lower box, and click "Send."
Copy the orange link that appears when the upload is complete, and share it with people to let them download the file.
Use the Filemanager, accessible through the black toolbar, to sort, share or delete uploaded files.
Set up a free account with SoundCloud, fill in your details and confirm your email address. Free accounts allow you to upload as many tracks as you like up to a total length of 2 hours.
Click "Upload & Send" at the top of the page. Click "Choose Files," and select the files to upload. These may be in AIFF, WAVE, FLAC, OGG, MP3 or AAC format.
Fill in track information and select privacy options while your files are uploading. When you have finished, click "Save" at the bottom.
