How to Import Song Titles on iTunes with Burned CDs

Importing song titles into iTunes allows you to have the titles of your songs available digitally so they can be displayed on your iPod, or on your stereo--if your stereo has the CD text function. The obvious advantage of this is that you no longer have to check the CD case for the track listing, plus it helps with the management of your songs on iTunes and your iPod. This is a relatively easy task to achieve, but just requires a little know-how.

Instructions

    • 1

Open iTunes by double-clicking on its icon--two blue musical notes above a CD--on your desktop.

    • 2

Insert your burned audio CD into your computer's disc drive. Click on "Burn" in the bottom-right corner when your disc is recognized.

    • 3

Click on "Advanced" in the top taskbar and select "Get CD Track Names" from the drop-down list; iTunes will now search the Internet for your track titles.

    • 4

Insert track names manually, if iTunes didn't find all of the titles, by clicking on the individual tracks, waiting a moment, clicking again and typing in the names.
