Launch Ableton. Click one of the folder icons next to the "Browser" pane, which is located to the left of the mixer window.
Navigate to the audio clip you want to import. Drag and drop the clip onto an audio channel in the mixer window.
Click the yellow "Warp" button in the "Sample" window near the bottom of the screen to disable warping for the audio clip.
Start Ableton Live. Click "Options," then choose "Preferences" from the menu. Click the "Record Warp Launch" tab on the left side of the window that pops up.
Click the drop-down menu next to "Loop/Warp Short Samples." Select "Unwarped One Shot" from the menu.
Click the "On" button next to "Auto-Warp Long Samples" to toggle auto-warping off.
Close the "Preferences" window to apply the changes and disable warping in Ableton.
