How to Add a Saved Track to Pro Tools LE

It is not uncommon to have to add audio to a Pro Tools session that already exists. Because of this, adding a saved track to Pro Tools is a task that every Pro Tools user should know how to complete. Importing saved tracks into Pro Tools is commonly done when adding a backing track to a recording, importing tracks to edit, or importing a track to mix or master.

  • Pro Tools LE
  • Saved audio track

Instructions

      Open Pro Tools, and click the "Audio Regions List" heading in the column on the right side of Pro Tools.

      Select the "Import Audio" option from the pop-up menu that appears.

      Browse to select the saved track you want to add to Pro Tools LE.

      Click "Copy."

      Click "Done."

      Choose the "Audio Files" folder when asked by Pro Tools where you want to save the track you are importing. After doing so, the saved track will be imported into the audio bin in the column on the right side of Pro Tools.

      Drag the imported track into a new audio track in the "Edit" window to add it to your Pro Tools LE session.
