How to Block Mighty Mango

Mighty Mango is an interactive, percussion composition platform designed specifically for Microsoft Windows operating systems. Commonly used by teachers and students for music education, Mighty Mango helps students read and understand percussion music on digital manuscript. However, it can also become a serious distraction if accessed at inappropriate times. Mighty Mango can be blocked one of two ways: by removing the software itself and blocking the actual Mighty Mango site in the browser. Both actions can be done by conducting basic Windows system operations.

Instructions

  1. Uninstalling Mighty Mango

      Click the Microsoft system menu icon on the task bar.

      Select "Control Panel" from the system menu.

      Click "Programs" on the control Panel main screen. Then, select "Uninstall a Program."

      Locate Mighty Mango within' the Control Panel's list of installed programs for the computer.

      Highlight Mighty Mango, and click the uninstall button at the top of the programs' list. When the Mighty Mango uninstaller opens, follow the prompts to remove the software from the computer.

    Block Might Mango Website

      Access the "Tools" menu on the Internet Explorer toolbar at the top of the browser screen.

      Click the "Internet Options" tab at the very bottom of the Tools drop-down menu. This action will open Internet Options in a smaller box over the browser.

      Select the "Content" tab on the Internet Options tab menu at the top of the box.

      Choose the "Enable" action in the content advisor section of the content tab menu.

      Click "Approved Sites" when the content advisor box opens.

      Add Mighty Mango to the list of disapproved sites by typing the URL "www.mightymango.com" in the "Allow This Website" blank text field.

      Click "Never" to move the Mighty Mango URL to the disapproved sites' list, and click "OK."
