Connect your MPC to your computer using the included MIDI cable. Launch Reason. Click "Edit," then "Preferences."
Select "Advanced MIDI" from the "Page" drop-down menu. Click the drop-down menu next to "MIDI Clock Sync" and select the MIDI port to which your MPC is connected. Close the "Preferences" pop-up window.
Click "Options," then "Sync." Click "MIDI Clock" to enable external MIDI syncing in Reason.
Press the "Mode" and "PAD 9" keys on the MPC 1000 simultaneously.
Press the F2 key. Select the "Sync In" field using the cursor keys, then turn the data wheel to set it to "Off." Set "Sync Out" to "A" or "B," depending on which port you plugged the MIDI cable into.
Press the "Play" button to sync the MPC with Reason.
Press the "Mode" and "PAD 7" keys simultaneously to open the "MIDI Sync" menu.
Turn the MPC500's wheel control until "Sync" appears on the screen.
Press the "Down" key. Turn the wheel until "Master" displays on the screen. Press the "Play" key to sync the MPC500 to Reason.
Press the "Mode" and "PAD 8" buttons simultaneously on the MPC5000; on the MPC2500, press "Mode" and "PAD 9." The "MIDI Sync" menu opens.
Move the cursor to the "Sync Out" field using the cursor keys. Turn the wheel to select the MIDI port to which your computer is connected.
Select "Mode" and turn the wheel to set it to "MIDI Clock." Highlight "MMC" with the cursor and use the wheel to change it to "On."
Press the "Play" button to sync the MPC to your computer.
