Los Angeles is a center for the arts. Thousands of films and television shows have been taped in this colorful city. One of the perks of visiting Los Angeles is being able to get into live television show tapings for free. Several studios offer free tickets or operate a first-come, first-served strategy for various television shows. Shows with live studio audiences--such as "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "The Price is Right" and "American Idol"--typically offer free tickets. However, tickets are often limited and seats can fill up quickly. To get a seat at a live show taping, it is important to make reservations.
Instructions
1
When requesting tickets by mail, include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
Make reservations by mail. Write a letter indicating the name of the show, the date on which you wish to attend and the number of tickets you need. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope in which tickets can be mailed back. Keep in mind that some popular shows are often booked years in advance.
2
Some studios hand out audience tickets the day of the show taping.
Go straight to the studio of choice for last-minute tickets. It's best to go a few days before the show taping or early in the morning the day of the show.
3
Audience tickets often can be obtained online.
Visit an online ticketing agent such as Audiences Unlimited or On Camera Audiences. This is the easiest way to get tickets for live tapings. Online tickets can sometimes be purchased via a studio's website as well.
